What this site is
An informational website about our company and the products we make. It is published for general information only.
It is not advice. Nothing here is legal, regulatory, financial or professional security advice, and nothing here creates a client relationship or a duty of care. Descriptions of our products describe what they are intended to do; the product’s own documentation and terms are what govern what it actually does for you.
It is not an offer. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and nothing here forms a contract. Product availability, features and pricing change, and the product’s own site or store listing is the authoritative source for all three.
What you may do
You may view, print and download pages from this site for your own use, and for sharing within your organisation. You may link to any page on it.
What you may not do
You must not:
- use the site in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting infrastructure, or any system or network connected to it;
- interfere with the site’s availability, including by any denial-of-service attack;
- introduce malicious code of any kind;
- scrape, harvest or systematically extract content for the purpose of building a competing service or a dataset for sale; or
- remove or obscure any copyright or other proprietary notice.

All content on this site is owned by CMS InfoSec Ltd or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. That covers the text, the layout, the graphics, the CMS InfoSec name and logo, and the names Cyber Made Simple and CMS SecureMe.
Quoting a reasonable extract with attribution and a link is fine. Republishing pages wholesale is not.
Availability
We try to keep this site available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice. It is a website, not a service you are paying for.
External links
Where we link to another organisation’s site we do so because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Subject to that, and because this site is provided free and for information only:

Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction, and the mandatory consumer protection law of your home nation continues to apply.
Changes
We may revise these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page moves when the wording does. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
